Privacy Policy

LilyGuides (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an academic-writing toolset - an AI-content detector and a text humaniser - powered entirely by our own locally-hosted models. This policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have.

Account data: your email address, name (optional), and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and Google account ID from Google - never your Google password.

Content you submit: the text you paste or upload for detection or humanising, and the results we generate. Uploaded files are parsed to plain text for processing.

Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting operational logs (e.g. that an analysis ran, timestamps, error diagnostics) needed to run and secure the service.

Payment data: if you subscribe, payments are processed by our payment provider (Paystack). We never see or store your full card details.

We use your information solely to: provide and operate the detector and humaniser; maintain your account and history; process subscriptions; secure the platform and prevent abuse; and respond to support requests.

Your submitted content is processed on our own infrastructure with our own local models. It is not sent to any third-party AI service.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your submitted content to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We only disclose data to the limited service providers strictly necessary to run LilyGuides (e.g. hosting, and the payment processor for billing), under contract and only for that purpose - or where we are legally required to by valid law.

We will not use your submitted documents or results to train, fine-tune, or improve our models unless you have given explicit, opt-in consent (for example, by choosing to contribute a sample for model improvement). Consent is voluntary, can be withdrawn at any time, and declining it never reduces the service you receive.

We keep your account data while your account is active. Analysis history is retained so you can revisit it, and you can delete individual analyses or request full account deletion at any time, after which we remove your personal data within a reasonable period except where retention is legally required.

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to systems is restricted and monitored. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your data.

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, withdraw training consent, and close your account. To exercise any of these, contact us at the address below.

LilyGuides is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their data.
